The Storm

The Wrath of the Sky
The Unnatural Weather
As the Losers battled It underground, a freak storm erupted over Derry. Winds reached hurricane force, rain fell in torrents, and lightning struck repeatedly. The storm was a physical manifestation of It's death throes.
The Destruction
The storm caused widespread damage. The Standpipe collapsed, sending a tidal wave of water through the streets. Downtown Derry caved in as the Canal overflowed and the sewers exploded. Buildings sank into the ground, and the mall was destroyed.
The Aftermath
The storm killed dozens and injured hundreds. Derry was left in ruins, but the cycle of violence was broken. The town would never be the same, but the evil that had haunted it for centuries was finally gone.
The Rebuilding

A New Beginning
The Exodus
After the storm, many residents left Derry, fearing further disasters. The town's economy collapsed, and plans for expansion were abandoned. Derry began to shrink, returning to a small, quiet community.
The Forgetting
As the Losers forgot their experiences, so did the town. The events of May 31st were attributed to a freak storm. The supernatural elements were buried in the collective unconscious. Derry slowly healed.
The Legacy
The destruction of Derry was the price of freedom. The town would never be the same, but the children who had fought the monster grew up and moved on. The cycle was broken, and the evil was dead.
