Life at the Burrow

Harry arrives at the Burrow, the Weasley family's chaotic and magical home, and experiences a stark contrast to the Dursleys' orderly house. He is warmly welcomed by Mrs. Molly Weasley, who fusses over him, and Mr. Arthur Weasley, who is fascinated by Muggle artifacts. Harry helps de-gnome the garden, meets Ron's younger sister Ginny, who is shy around him, and learns about the wizarding world's quirks, such as a talking mirror and a ghoul in the attic. The month is the happiest of Harry's life, filled with good food, laughter, and a sense of belonging. He also receives his Hogwarts letter, which includes a booklist dominated by the works of Gilderoy Lockhart, the new Defense Against the Dark Arts teacher.
