The Journey Home

On the train back to London, Harry, Ron, Hermione, Ginny, Fred, and George share a compartment, enjoying their last hours of magic before the holidays. They play Exploding Snap and practice dueling. Harry gives Ron and Hermione his telephone number at the Dursleys', hoping to stay in touch over the summer. Ginny reveals that Percy has a girlfriend, Penelope Clearwater, which explains his secretive behavior. The journey is lighthearted and happy, a stark contrast to the beginning of the year. As they pass through the barrier back into the Muggle world, Harry reflects on his adventures and looks forward to the future, knowing that he has true friends and a place where he belongs.
