The Rescue from Privet Drive

Harry is trapped in his room, starving and desperate, when he is startled to see Ron Weasley's face at his window. Ron has come to rescue him in his father Arthur Weasley's enchanted flying Ford Anglia, along with his twin brothers Fred and George. The Weasleys help Harry escape by pulling the bars off his window and retrieving his trunk and owl, Hedwig, from the Dursleys' house. Uncle Vernon tries to stop them, but Harry is pulled into the car just in time. The car soars into the night sky, and Harry, free at last, yells a farewell to the Dursleys. The rescue is a turning point, marking Harry's transition from a miserable summer to a joyful one at the Weasleys' home, the Burrow.
