Elizabeth Visits the Collinses at Hunsford
Elizabeth travels to Kent to visit Charlotte and Mr. Collins at their parsonage in Hunsford. She is struck by the comfort of their home but also by Charlotte's strategy of avoiding her husband by spending time in her own sitting room. Elizabeth is also introduced to the grandeur of Rosings, the estate of Lady Catherine de Bourgh, who is Mr. Collins's patroness. The visit provides a new setting for Elizabeth's interactions with Darcy, who is also a nephew of Lady Catherine and is expected to visit Rosings.
