Ponyboy and Johnny run to the park

Ponyboy finds Johnny Cade in the vacant lot and tells him they are running away. They walk to the park to cool off. Ponyboy cries and tells Johnny about Darry hitting him. Johnny sympathizes, saying at least his father knows who he is when he hits him. They decide to go home after walking.
