Socs confront the group on the street

Cherry and Marcia's boyfriends, Bob Sheldon and Randy Adderson, arrive in a blue Mustang. They argue with the girls and insult the greasers. Keith "Two-Bit" Mathews brandishes a broken bottle and his switchblade. Cherry defuses the situation by agreeing to go with the Socs. She tells Ponyboy she could fall in love with Dallas Winston, then leaves.
