Ace Merrill and Fuzzy Bracowicz ambush Gordon after school. They beat him severely, breaking his nose and two fingers. Gordon refuses to identify them to the doctor or his parents, protecting Chris and the others. Chris is also beaten by his brother Eyeball, and Teddy and Vern are attacked as well. The revenge is brutal but does not break their silence.
