Escape from the Red Keep

The Flight The Attack Ser Meryn Trant comes to arrest Arya, but Syrio Forel holds him off, sacrificing himself. Arya escapes through the castle, hiding in the dragon skulls' chamber. The Secret Tunnel Arya overhears Varys and Illyrio plotting in the dungeons. She learns of a conspiracy but is too frightened to understand fully. She flees through a sewer. The Streets Arya emerges in the city, alone and hunted. She must survive with no money and no allies, relying on her wits and the skills Syrio taught her.

Life in Flea Bottom

The Gutter Hiding and Hunting Arya lives in the slums, catching pigeons and stealing food. She is constantly in danger from thieves and the gold cloaks. The Execution Arya witnesses her father's beheading from the crowd. She is grabbed by Yoren, who recognizes her and pulls her away before she can be discovered. The New Identity Yoren shaves Arya's head and disguises her as a boy. He plans to take her north to the Wall, where she can be safe. Arya agrees, hoping to find Jon.
