Boris Reappears

Boris, now a successful international criminal, reappears in Theo's life. He finds Theo in a bar in the East Village and confesses that he was the one who stole The Goldfinch from him all those years ago. He explains that he used the painting as collateral in various criminal deals, but it was recently lost in a botched operation in Miami. Boris is remorseful and promises to make things right. His reappearance throws Theo's already complicated life into further chaos.
