Confrontation with Lucius Reeve

A client, Lucius Reeve, confronts Theo about a fake Chippendale chest-on-chest he sold him. Reeve is not just angry about the fraud; he knows about The Goldfinch. He threatens to expose Theo and Hobie to the authorities unless Theo gives him the painting. Theo is terrified, realizing that his secret is no longer safe. Reeve's knowledge of the painting and his connection to the criminal underworld put Theo in a dangerous position, forcing him to confront the consequences of his past actions.
