Narrator realizes he forgot the strap
The Narrator recalls that when he drew the muzzle for the Little Prince, he forgot to add the leather strap. This means the Little Prince could never fasten it on his sheep. The Narrator now worries constantly: perhaps the sheep has eaten the flower on the Little Prince's planet. This oversight becomes the source of the story's central anxiety.
