Letter from Lolita

Humbert receives a letter from Lolita, now married and pregnant. She writes that she is in dire financial straits and asks for money. The letter gives her address as Coalmont. Humbert, filled with a mixture of rage, pity, and enduring love, decides to visit her. He also resolves to find and kill Quilty, whom he blames for stealing Lolita from him.
