Captain Beck secretly warns Vianne that Rachel will be deported the next day. Vianne hides Rachel and her son Ari in the cellar of Le Jardin. However, thinking the danger has passed, Rachel returns home and is arrested by French police. Vianne accompanies her to the train station.
