Nazis occupy Carriveau

German soldiers march into Carriveau. Isabelle defiantly stands in their path, but Vianne pulls her away. The Nazis raise the swastika over the town hall and impose strict rules: a curfew, surrender of radios and weapons, and food control. Isabelle is furious and wants to resist, while Vianne urges caution to protect Sophie.
