Langdon and Ambra, accompanied by Guardia agents Fonseca and Díaz, go to Sagrada Família to find the Blake book. In the crypt, they discover the final line of Blake's poem The Four Zoas: 'The dark religions are departed & sweet science reigns.' They realize the password uses the Latin ligature 'et' for the ampersand, making it exactly 47 characters. Meanwhile, Admiral Ávila, having been redirected to Barcelona, attacks them in the church. He kills both Guardia agents and pursues Langdon up the spiral staircase. In the struggle, Ávila falls to his death, and Langdon is injured.
