Favell's Blackmail Attempt

Jack Favell comes to Manderley and tries to blackmail Maxim, threatening to reveal the truth. He produces a note from Rebecca asking him to meet her. Maxim calls Colonel Julyan, who comes to the house. Favell claims Rebecca was murdered, but his witness, Ben, refuses to corroborate his story. Mrs Danvers is called and denies that Rebecca loved Favell. The name 'Baker' is found in Rebecca's diary, leading to a doctor's appointment.
