Lord's Mill
Lord's Mill is a mill in the riverlands, a source of tax revenue for the lord who controls it. The lord traditionally receives a tenth of all the grain ground there. During the negotiations to end the siege of Raventree Hall, Lord Tytos Blackwood initially refuses to part with Grindcorn Mill, his preferred mill, but agrees to cede Lord's Mill to Lord Jonos Bracken as part of the settlement brokered by Jaime Lannister. Jaime insists that Bracken must receive at least one mill as compensation for his service in the war, and Lord's Mill is the one Blackwood concedes. Later, when Jaime reports the terms to Lord Jonos, Bracken accepts Lord's Mill as part of his reward, though he grumbles that he should have received more. The mill thus serves as a concrete symbol of the redistribution of power and resources that follows the Lannister victory in the riverlands, a small but meaningful piece of the peace that ends the Blackwood-Bracken conflict for the duration of the war.
