Jon Sends Gilly and Sam Away

Jon Snow makes the difficult decision to send Gilly, the wildling girl, and her baby away from Castle Black to protect them from Melisandre, who may want to use the child's 'king's blood' for her fires. He also sends Samwell Tarly and the elderly Maester Aemon to Oldtown, ostensibly so Sam can become a maester, but also to keep them safe from the dangers at the Wall. Jon forces Gilly to leave her own son behind and take Mance Rayder's son instead, a cruel but necessary deception to protect the 'prince' from being burned.
