Biff agrees to stay and help

Moved by Linda's revelation, Biff promises to stay home and get a job. He vows to apply himself and to make good. Happy suggests that Biff's problem in business was that he never tried to please people, but Biff argues that they don't belong in the city and should be working with their hands. Willy returns and overhears, leading to another argument. However, when Biff mentions his plan to see Bill Oliver, Willy becomes excited and offers advice on how to ask for a loan. The family briefly unites in hope for Biff's meeting.
