Morning, present day
Willy is fired by Howard Wagner
Willy goes to Howard Wagner's office to ask for a job in New York. Howard is distracted by his new wire recorder and dismisses Willy's request, saying there is no spot for him. Willy pleads, reminding Howard of his years of service and the promises made by Howard's father. Howard eventually tells Willy that he can't represent the company anymore and that he needs a rest. Willy is fired. The scene is a crushing blow, as Willy's loyalty and history count for nothing in the face of corporate indifference.
