First Night Expedition into the Library

William and Adso secretly enter the Aedificium through the ossuary and explore the library labyrinth. They discover rooms filled with books, mirrors, and a lamp that emits vision-inducing fumes. Adso is overcome by a terrifying hallucination. They become lost but eventually find their way out.
