Scorpion Stings Coyotito

While Kino and Juana are inside their brush house, a scorpion descends the rope of Coyotito's hanging box. Despite Kino's attempt to catch it, the scorpion falls and stings the baby on the shoulder. Kino kills the scorpion in a rage, but Coyotito screams in pain. Juana immediately sucks the poison from the wound. The Song of Evil enters Kino's mind, contrasting with the Song of the Family.
