Attempted Assassination of Bran

An assassin with a Valyrian steel dagger attempts to kill the comatose Bran in his bed. Catelyn Stark fights him off, and Bran's direwolf, Summer, kills the attacker. Catelyn suspects the Lannisters are behind the attempt and decides to travel to King's Landing to warn Eddard. She also sends the dagger to be identified. This event deepens the Stark-Lannister feud and leads Catelyn to take Tyrion Lannister captive later.
