Wight Attack at Castle Black

Two dead rangers, Othor and Jafer Flowers, are found in the haunted forest. They are brought back to Castle Black, but they reanimate as wights and attack. Jon Snow kills the wight Othor with fire, saving Lord Commander Mormont. This event proves the existence of the Others and their undead servants, convincing Mormont of the threat beyond the Wall and leading to the decision to undertake a great ranging.
