Daenerys's Wedding to Khal Drogo

In Pentos, Daenerys Targaryen is wed to Khal Drogo, a powerful Dothraki warlord, in a political marriage arranged by her brother Viserys and Magister Illyrio. The wedding is a grand, barbaric affair under the open sky, featuring Dothraki customs, bride gifts, and a dragon's egg from Illyrio. Daenerys is terrified but begins to find strength and a new identity as Khaleesi. This event launches Daenerys's journey from a frightened girl to a powerful leader and sets the stage for the Targaryen restoration plot.
