Struggle for Water

Katniss travels through the woods, dehydrated and desperate for water. She sets snares and catches a rabbit. She finds a pond and drinks, but the Gamemakers set a fire to drive the tributes together. Katniss is caught in the firestorm, suffering burns on her leg and hands. She finds a spring-fed pool and soaks her injuries. The Career Tributes, including Peeta, track her down. She climbs a tree to escape, and they surround her. Rue, hiding in a nearby tree, points out a tracker jacker nest above Katniss.
