The Feast

Claudius Templesmith announces a feast at the Cornucopia, where each tribute will find a backpack with something they desperately need. Katniss knows Peeta needs medicine for his infection. She drugs Peeta with sleep syrup to prevent him from following her. At dawn, she goes to the feast, fights Clove, and retrieves the small orange backpack. Clove pins her down and taunts her about Rue, but Thresh arrives, kills Clove, and spares Katniss because of her kindness to Rue. Katniss returns to the cave and injects Peeta with the medicine.
