The Meeting with Glinda

The travelers walk through the pleasant Quadling Country to Glinda's ruby castle. They are admitted and meet Glinda, a beautiful young woman with red hair and blue eyes. Dorothy tells her story. Glinda kisses her and says she knows a way to send her home. She asks for the Golden Cap in return. Dorothy gives it willingly. Glinda then tells the Scarecrow, Tin Woodman, and Lion that she will use the Cap to send them to their respective kingdoms. This event is the final audience with a wise authority figure who provides the solution.
