Confession of Linda Arden

Mrs. Hubbard, now revealed as Linda Arden, confirms Poirot's solution. She describes the grief and rage that drove the group to plan Ratchett's execution. Each of the twelve stabbed him once, ensuring collective responsibility. She asks Poirot to spare the others and take the blame herself. Her voice, rich with theatrical emotion, moves the room.
