Silas, freed by Rémy, enters the Temple Church and takes Sophie and Langdon at gunpoint. He demands the keystone. Langdon threatens to smash it, but Rémy appears and takes Teabing hostage. To save Teabing, Langdon hands over the cryptex. Rémy and Silas leave with the keystone and Teabing, taking him as a hostage. Langdon and Sophie are left behind, feeling betrayed and desperate.
