Saunière's Murder

Jacques Saunière, the curator of the Louvre, is pursued through the Grand Gallery by a hulking albino named Silas. Silas demands the location of a secret, and Saunière, knowing he is dying, tells a rehearsed lie. Silas shoots him in the stomach, leaving him to die slowly. Alone and trapped, Saunière realizes he is the last guardian of a powerful secret and must pass it on. He uses his final moments to create a cryptic message on the floor with his own blood and a black-light pen, arranging his body in the pose of Leonardo da Vinci's Vitruvian Man.
