Silas at Saint-Sulpice

Silas arrives at the Church of Saint-Sulpice, having been let in by Sister Sandrine Bieil. He pretends to be a visiting monk who wants to pray. Once alone, he searches for the keystone, which the murdered sénéchaux told him was hidden beneath the Rose Line, a brass strip on the floor. He finds a hollow tile at the base of the obelisk and breaks it open, retrieving a stone tablet. The tablet bears a single inscription: 'Job 38:11.'
