The Flight to the Ford

Fleeing from the Nazgûl, the hobbits and Aragorn are rescued by Glorfindel, an Elf-lord from Rivendell. Glorfindel places Frodo on his horse, Asfaloth, and they race towards the Ford of Bruinen. The Nazgûl pursue them, but at the Ford, Elrond commands the river to rise, creating a flood that sweeps away the wraiths' horses. Frodo collapses from his wound.
