Encounter on the Glacier

Victor ascends to the glacier of Montanvert. There, he is confronted by the monster, who approaches him with superhuman speed. Victor curses the creature, but the monster speaks, pleading for a chance to tell his story. He argues that Victor, as his creator, owes him a hearing. Reluctantly, Victor agrees to listen.
