The Monster's Tale Begins
The monster leads Victor to a mountain hut and begins his narrative. He describes his first confused sensations after being created, wandering through the forest near Ingolstadt. He experiences hunger, cold, and fear, and is bewildered by the world around him. He learns to distinguish his senses and discovers fire, which provides him with warmth and light.
