Justine's Confession and Execution

Victor and Elizabeth visit Justine in prison. Justine confesses that she was pressured by her confessor into making a false confession. She is resigned to her fate and dies on the scaffold. Elizabeth is heartbroken, and Victor is consumed by an even deeper guilt, knowing that his creation has now caused the deaths of two innocent people.
