The Ship Trapped by Ice

Walton's ship becomes surrounded by ice and fog, creating a dangerous situation. As the mist clears, the crew sees a gigantic figure on a dog-drawn sledge speeding north. This strange apparition fills them with wonder and suggests the presence of something beyond the ordinary. Later, the ice breaks, freeing the ship.
