Murder of William Frankenstein

The monster encounters William Frankenstein in a wood. He initially hopes to befriend the child, but William is terrified and reveals that his father is M. Frankenstein. Enraged, the monster strangles the boy. He then sees the miniature portrait of Caroline Beaufort and, in a fit of spite, places it in the pocket of Justine Moritz, framing her for the murder.
