The Monster's Request for a Female

The monster concludes his tale by demanding that Victor create a female companion for him. He argues that he is miserable because he is alone and that a companion would make him peaceful. He promises to leave Europe forever if Victor grants his request. Victor is initially horrified, but the monster's arguments and threats begin to sway him.
