Belle's Happy Family from "A Christmas Carol". Despite Scrooge's pleas, the Ghost forces him to witness one more shadow.

Christmas night, during the First Spirit's visit

Belle's Happy Family

Despite Scrooge's pleas, the Ghost forces him to witness one more shadow. They are in a comfortable, happy home where Belle, now a comely matron, sits with her husband and a large, boisterous family. The husband returns home laden with Christmas toys and presents, and the children rush to greet him. The husband tells Belle that he saw Mr. Scrooge that afternoon, sitting alone in his office while his partner lies upon the point of death. Scrooge, seeing the happiness he has missed, is overcome with anguish and wrestles with the Spirit, finally seizing the extinguisher cap and pressing it down upon the Spirit's head to force it to stop.
