Fred's Christmas Party

The Spirit brings Scrooge to his nephew Fred's house, where a lively Christmas party is in full swing. Fred laughs heartily, recounting how Scrooge said Christmas was a humbug. The guests, including Fred's wife, Topper, and the plump sister, play games like blindman's buff and forfeits. They play a game called 'Yes and No,' where Fred thinks of an animal, and the plump sister guesses it is 'your uncle Scrooge.' Fred then proposes a toast to Uncle Scrooge, and everyone drinks to his health. Scrooge, watching, is so engaged that he joins in the games, forgetting that his voice makes no sound in their ears.
