Christmas Day, morning
Scrooge's Christmas Morning Awakening
Scrooge finds himself in his own bed, clutching his bed-curtains. He realizes that the bedpost is his own, the bed is his own, and the room is his own. He is overjoyed to discover that the time before him is his own to make amends in. He laughs and cries, declaring that he will live in the Past, the Present, and the Future. He dresses in a frenzy, opening the window to find a clear, bright, cold Christmas morning. He calls down to a boy in the street and learns that it is Christmas Day. He is ecstatic that he hasn't missed it.
