The Fezziwig Christmas Party

The Spirit takes Scrooge to the warehouse of his old employer, Fezziwig. They see a younger Scrooge, now a young man, with his fellow apprentice, Dick Wilkins. Old Fezziwig, a jovial, generous man, calls a halt to work and transforms the warehouse into a ballroom for a Christmas party. A fiddler arrives, and the room fills with guests, including Mrs. Fezziwig and the three Miss Fezziwigs. There are dances, forfeits, cake, negus, and a great piece of Cold Roast and Cold Boiled. The evening culminates in the dance 'Sir Roger de Coverley,' with Fezziwig and his wife leading the company. Scrooge, watching, is transported with joy, remembering every detail.
