Anne Returns to School

Feeling she has nothing left to live for, Anne decides to return to school. She is welcomed back by her classmates. She and Diana, though forbidden to play together, communicate through notes. Anne throws herself into her studies, determined to outdo Gilbert Blythe in class. This marks the beginning of their intense academic rivalry.
