Diana is Invited to Tea

Marilla allows Anne to invite Diana to tea. Anne, excited to play hostess, prepares a tea party. Mistaking a bottle of Marilla's homemade currant wine for raspberry cordial, she serves it to Diana, who drinks three glasses and becomes intoxicated. Diana is sent home sick, and Mrs. Barry is furious, forbidding Diana from playing with Anne. This incident causes a rift between the two friends and brings Marilla's homemade wine under scrutiny.
