Aslan's Sadness and the Night Walk

Aslan orders the camp to move to the Fords of Beruna. He seems sad and distant, and he tells Peter that he may not be with them in the coming battle. That night, Susan and Lucy cannot sleep and sense something terrible is about to happen. They see Aslan walking away from the camp and follow him. He allows them to accompany him but asks them to stop and hide when they reach the Hill of the Stone Table. They obey, watching from the bushes as Aslan continues alone.
