Lucy Meets Mr. Tumnus

While standing by the lamppost, Lucy hears footsteps and meets a Faun named Mr. Tumnus, who carries an umbrella and parcels. He is startled to see a human girl—a 'Daughter of Eve.' After initial confusion, he introduces himself and invites her to his cave for tea. Lucy accepts, and they walk arm-in-arm through the snowy wood to his cozy cave home, where he serves a wonderful tea and plays enchanting music on a flute.
