The Arrival of Spring

As the Witch and Edmund continue on foot, the winter rapidly gives way to spring. Snow melts, streams flow, flowers bloom, and birds sing. The Dwarf realizes that Aslan's power is breaking the Witch's spell. The Witch is furious and threatens to kill anyone who mentions Aslan's name. The transformation of the landscape symbolizes the weakening of the Witch's hold on Narnia and the approaching hope of liberation.
