Return to the Professor's House
The children are back in their old clothes, and no time has passed in England. They explain to the Professor that four coats are missing from the wardrobe. The Professor, understanding, tells them that they will not get back to Narnia through the wardrobe again, but that they will return someday—when they least expect it. He advises them not to try to force the way and to keep their adventures to themselves unless they meet others who have had similar experiences. The story ends with the sense that their Narnian adventures are only beginning.
